Protection for Windows (docker) containers

Hi,

We are running docker containers (with process isolation) on a Windows 2016 Server host. The host runs ESET File Security 7.0.12018.0. Does this provide protection against viruses and malware inside the containers ? Or should we consider running specialist security product for docker containers as well?

Hello Cris,

we do not have a special integration for docker based solutions.

Can you be please more specific what the application does and how? 

The EFSW is able to provide standard level of protection i.e. real-time file system protection, application protocol scanning and so on...
Moreover the version 7+ provides basic Network protection as well, see https://help.eset.com/efsw/7.0/en-US/idh_config_epfw_basic_group.html for details...

 

On the other hand it is not bale for example to scan data put into a database...
