Tomeksup 0
I installed era 6.5 on client, everything was ok. I update client era from 6.5 to 7.0 and lost connection. On eset forum i founded patch with instruction to change files in C:\Program Files\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Server\ file named NetworkGrpc.dll. I checked. There is no such file. I have only network.dll. Is that instruction is correct or i dont understand instruction ? How to reconnect client ? At this moment only return to 6.5 is the working solution. Administrators Marcos 5,394 Posted September 11, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 11, 2019 It is necessary to upgrade the ERA server to ESMC first. Agent v7 cannot communicate with ERA Server. https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/components_upgrade.html If agents connected directly to the ERA server and not through ERA Proxy, they should start connecting to the ESMC server after you upgrade the ERA Server to ESMC. Administrators Marcos 5,394 Posted September 11, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 11, 2019 The upgrade procedure is described here: https://support.eset.com/kb6819/ In a nutshell, if your agents didn't connect to the ERA server through ERA Proxy: - backup the database and certificates (if using VA, create a snapshot) - upgrade the ERA Server to ESMC by sending an ERA Components Upgrade task to it (it will take some time) - make sure that clients replicate to the ESMC server alright - send an ESMC upgrade task to a small group of clients and make sure they replicate to the ESMC server alright - then proceed with upgrading agent on clients by sending the above task to the rest of clients - if the latest version of Endpoint is not installed on clients, send a software install task to them to get them upgraded. If you have more clients in the network, we recommend using an http proxy. Make sure it's configured properly in an agent's and Endpoint's policy as well as in the ESMC server setup. ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted September 11, 2019 ESET Staff Share Posted September 11, 2019 @Tomeksup No, you have to first update the actual ESET Remote Administrator Server 6.5 to ESET Security Management Server 7.0 (if you update the agent before the server, you break the connection, as the old agent can talk with the new server, however new agent is NOT able to talk with the users).
