Smart Security downloads but is not installing

I have used ESET Smart Security since October 2013. I downloaded the latest upgrade and the program disappeared from my computer. I bought the program, downloaded it but can not get it to install. I'm using Windows 8. Any suggestions?

Hello donc,

I would try booting to Safemode and removing with the Uninstall tool. It should clean up any corruption that may have happened during the upgrade.

Then proceed to download the latest version using the Live installer, or the MSI and try to install again.
