Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted February 23, 2014 Administrators Share Posted February 23, 2014 Please make sure that your ESS is configured to generate complete application dump (Tools -> Diagnostics). After a dump has been generated (by default in C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Diagnostics folder), compress it, upload it to a safe location and pm me the download link. Also post information about installed modules from the About window.

Arakasi 549
Hi Makinero, You have to recreate the crash with the settings for complete dump enabled.
Makinero 1
how to "provoke a system crash"? How to cause a system crash? Edited February 23, 2014 by Makinero
Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted February 23, 2014 Administrators Share Posted February 23, 2014 Do you mean you're no longer having the issue and ekrn is not crashing? Otherwise a dump would be created in the above mentioned folder.
Makinero 1
For example, some website crashes (stop loading) and the browser is frozen. An attempt to perform actions on the computer does the "total freeze" Restart Windows - Then the log is the "Windows Error Reporting" C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\NonCritical(..........) - a lot of errors that are associated with the application ESET Service. Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted February 24, 2014 Administrators Share Posted February 24, 2014 If no dumps are created in the Diagnostics folder then ekrn is not crashing any more. Does the problem go away after renaming C:\Windows\System32\drivers\eamonm.sys and ehdrv.sys, one at a time, in safe mode? If not, does uninstalling ESS make a difference? Makinero 1
Because, ESET is not suspended or crashes only cause no reaction browsers and consequently the lack of response of the system. Perhaps the website crashes (a script on a page or flash crashes). Problem Occurs only occasionally (eg, intensive use of the browser). ESET application prevents kill the hung process, for example, you can not run task manager, etc. Or by pressing (if busy program) CTRL + SHIFT + ESC or Alt + Ctrl + Del causes "Black Screen of Death" (not to be confused with the Blue screen of death" hxxp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Screen_of_Death Edited February 24, 2014 by Makinero
Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted February 24, 2014 Administrators Share Posted February 24, 2014 We're still waiting for a proof that ESET is involved in this issue. Does disabling any of the protection modules or renaming the aforementioned drivers make a difference?
Makinero 1
1. Completely remove ESET system solves the problem of the stability of the browser... 2. Reinstall again ESET - will browsers sometimes instability or problems with loading some pages (where are the scripts or flash) Edited February 24, 2014 by Makinero
Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted February 24, 2014 Administrators Share Posted February 24, 2014 Does temporarily disabling protocol filtering help? Does the problem occur with any browser?
Makinero 1
Protocol: Enable (defaul) Now: Disable (TEST...) Chrome and Opera(new) (probably based on the same "engine"?) and therefore only noticed problems with these browsers.
