numeric 0
Windows 10 (Insider Preview channel - 1H19 - build 18362.53) Eset Antivirus - 12.1.34.0 With Nod32 installed both discord and adobe creative cloud apps EAT cpu time. Uninstalling Nod32 or excluding the relevant discord and adobe folders in Nod32 eliminates the issue. No malware is reported, no viruses, etc. etc. - either by nod32 or by windows defender. So it definitely points to some incompatibility with the imminently incoming version of windows 10, discord, adode creative cloud (and possibly other apps I don't use) and Nod32. Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted April 25, 2019 Administrators Share Posted April 25, 2019 Does pausing real-time protection make a difference? Is Windows Defender not running when ESET's real-time protection is active?
numeric 0
Pausing real time does not help, the relevant anti-virus/anti-malware elements of Defender are (automatically) disabled when Nod32 is installed and there's no activity (apparent) from Defender. Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted April 25, 2019 Administrators Share Posted April 25, 2019 Then enable advanced operating system logging in the advanced setup -> tools -> diagnostics, reproduce the problem, disable logging and then provide C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Security\Diagnostics\EsetPerf.etl. What else could help us: - ELC logs - A Procmon log from time when the issue is manifesting (we recommend temporarily disabling protected service in the HIPS setup and rebooting the machine first)
