Schroedi 1
Hi, we just got the problem, that users with Notebooks, which are not connected with our network, are not able to get updates from our mirror. This is right and works as designed. But, they should get their updates from the ESET servers instead, don't they? I thought the clients get their updates from ESET servers automatically when mirror is not reachable. Global policy configuration, see picture (German). Thanks for help. 10.22.0.44:2221 is our mirror. Edited March 11, 2019 by Schroedi Mirror added
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted March 11, 2019 ESET Staff Share Posted March 11, 2019 (edited) In this case, you will have to configure a different update profile, for external network, and tight it with network profile for switching, or use dynamic groups for that. Use direct communication works only in case, when HTTP proxy is used for caching of updates. As you have configured mirror server, it will not work. Alternatively you can check our KB article here: https://support.eset.com/kb3621/?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US Edited March 11, 2019 by MichalJ
