Parental Control screen lock

At random intervals, during use, my chid's Android phone goes to the lock screen and asks for the Parental Control PIN. After this, the phone says that the fingerprint feature is disabled and we need to enter the PIN/pattern to unlock the phone. Thanks for your help.
