WesNathan 0
I'm trying out the trial version NOD32. Many times during the day the program says it has found a file and do I want to quarantine or otherwise get rid of the file. When I click on the button to remove the file, it goes away, then comes rite back. Click remove again and it goes away (until the next time later in the day). The filename is JS/Spigot.B. Obviously, it's not actually deleting the file. Also, something is preventing the Windows backup program from either Restoring a backup or creating a new backup. Windows says it can't find any backups or a drive to put them on. I can clearly see E drive, that holds the backups, along with several other files, in Windows Explorer. If there is a virus, ESET is not finding it. Neither is it finding and removing a file or program that is placing ads on my desktop. Don't know if that qualifies as a virus but I'd sure like to get rid of it. I am running Windows 7. Wes
Administrators Marcos 5,397 Posted January 28, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 28, 2019 Please provide logs gathered by ESET Log Collector. Is the PUA detected even if you don't open any browser?

Administrators Marcos 5,397 Posted January 29, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 29, 2019 After clicking Choose files, browse for the zip file generated by ELC and click Open. Alternatively you can upload the file to a safe location (e.g. OneDrive, DropBox, etc.) and drop me a personal message with a download link. WesNathan 0
There is a folder on the desktop that has the following: 3 folders (Config, ESET, Windows) and 4 files (collector log, features state, info, and metadata) How do I create a link to my desktop and that folder? I have to be away for 3 hours. I'll get back to later today. And thanks for your efforts, WN
Administrators Marcos 5,397 Posted January 29, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 29, 2019 ELC generates a zip archive with the files you mentioned inside. The zip file is just one so you can easily upload it here. Or upload it to OneDrive, DropBox, etc. and drop me a private message with a download link. WesNathan 0
I have moved (copied) the zip files by dragging to drag and drop on the black screen. Also, at the bottom of this screen. If I submit a reply to this message, will you see and be able to work with the eav_logs zip? eav_logs (2).zip
