Computer restart required

Hi All

 

So after last update of the agent, lots of computers on the network reporting "Computer restart required". Most of the computers are shutdown for the night (proper shutdown) and I have even did manual shutdown, but it still show on console and on actual computer that it needs restart.

Has anyone ever seen such problem?

PCs are on Windows 10

Hi

In Windows 8+ a shutdown will only hibernate the Windows session, so a shutdown and power on is not the same as a reboot. So try to do a reboot instead.

We have seen the issue happening when we upgrade eset endpoint versions . Restarting the system  will not resolve the notification.You have to reboot the system through admin console or launch eset av on user pc and click on restart the pc alert to reboot the system.

We have seen this eset 6v as well.

Thanks guys for your replies

We did all of those. Including rebooting through AV client. Message about need to reboot remains. Not every computer is affected, which makes it really strange.
