Outlook trust center show AV status invalid

Recommended Posts

One of my customer outlook 2013 show error "A program is trying to send an e-mail message on your behalf. If this is unexpected, click Deny and verify your antivirus software is up-to-date".

ESET is up-to-date and working fine. Restarted computer, reinstalled ESET Endpoint but issue still persist. Please advise

Thanks

An application running on your machine is trying to send email. It has nothing to do with ESET. Try to identify the application.

Is this on a server os?

Security center is not part of server os, so this check will always fail om server os.

@Marcos - Outlook will only show this prompt of it detects that an antivirus is not installered or up to date.

To learn how Outlook detects your antivirus status, follow these steps:

  1. In Outlook, click File, and then click Options.
  2. Click Trust Center, and then click Trust Center Settings.
  3. Click Programmatic Access.
  4. View the Antivirus status that's listed in this window. If the status is anything other than Valid, follow the appropriate steps to enable your antivirus program, or update your antivirus program as necessary.
