Shafiq 0
Thanks aranud87, I checked all the hash values mentioned in post and found all in Virus total. But i need ESET to acknowledge or confirm that this hash values will be detected by Detection Engine 18638. I hope someone from ESET can confirm this. Thank you. Administrators Marcos 5,272 Posted January 2, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 2, 2019 Why are you asking about detection with the engine version 18638? The latest version is 18641 which is a bit newer. Given that VirusTotal shows the samples as detected on Dec 1, they must be detected also with 18638 which was released earlier today. itman 1,748
I don't understand this posting either. Eset detected the base malware, Win32/Floxif, way back in 2012. Win32/Floxif .H is just a variant which regardless of a positive signature for it which Eset has (created 9-4-2015), would have been detected via DNA signature analysis. Shafiq 0
Thank you Marcos, The reason was asking about Detection engine 18638 was because This was the detection engine found on computers. Thanks for the confirmation. @itman …. I had informed this to my management This malware will be detected by ESET (based on Virustotal result) but I was still told to get confirmation. We can close this thread …. Thanks you again to Marcos, itman, and aranud87
