With standard/manual installation of AGENT, you need multiple files, including certificates to be available and correctly selected. This might result in confusion or in wrongly installed AGENT that is no able to connect to ERA/ESMC.

When server-assisted installation is used, instead of providing certificates, credentials are provided, that are used to connect to ERA/ESMC and generate/download required data. This has two major benefits -> certificates are handled automatically and connection to ERA/ESMC is actively verified during installation. Due to security, server assisted installation is supposed to be used only interactively, so it is not recommended for mass-deployment scenarios.
