jimmy09 2 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Is there any way to force Youtube restricted mode in EES v7? It looks like other firewalls and web filtering solutions do this; https://kb.k12usa.com/Knowledgebase/YouTube-Restricted-Mode Thanks!
Administrators Marcos 5,466 Posted November 6, 2018 Administrators Posted November 6, 2018 I don't think it has anything to do with the firewall. The feature is configurable via Google Admin console: YouTube settings in Google Admin Console allows administrators to restrict which YouTube videos are viewable, which videos might show up as recommendations, and which videos are returned in YouTube Search results for signed-in Apps users in your organization.
jimmy09 2 Posted November 6, 2018 Author Posted November 6, 2018 We don't have Google apps or anything google related. We are a O365 shop. Plus, that wouldn't help when a kid logs out of their Google account. In a Sonicwall it is a checkbox; https://www.sonicwall.com/en-us/support/knowledge-base/180629133139284 James

You can achieve this using DNS, if that's an option in your environment. It is detailed here: https://support.google.com/a/answer/6214622?hl=en
