I would like both "Update now" and "Quick scan (equivalent to a complete startup scan)" added to the tray menu.

"Update now..." is back in V9. :)

As I stated previously in the "suggestions" thread, would like a tray option to disable/enable SSL protocol scanning on demand. Much more convenient would be a browser toolbar to do the same.

Thank you all for your participation and votes. As Swex has correctly pointed out, we've added the most anticipated option to run update from the tray icon right-click menu in v9 which is going to become final soon. Since there's no room for further improvements with regard to this menu, we'll draw this topic to a close. We may reopen it in the future, if needed.
