kamiran.asia 5
Hi, Today we upgrade ERA to ESMC7 and we see some bugs. The policy in the console will not apply in V6 Versions. Even in Applied policy it show "Prodouct not installed" and that policy is grey and inactive. The only Policy that apply to V6 versions is agent policy. is this a bug in V7 ? Thank you dear Macros for very quick reply , No The agent and Endpoint are V6. You mean when Server is V7 and client agent and endpoint is V6 , Policy must not apply in endpoint !? in this case they have more than 200 Clients in region that upgrading agent to V7 is not easy at this time. So we downgrade the console to V6. We believe than this is a bug in V7 and must be correct. Console V7 must support V6 Endpoint logically.

No, policies should be correctly applied (please verify by requesting configuration from client), but the new visualization of appliance policies which actually informs you, which products are available on client machine is new, and it requires AGENT v7 to work properly. Yes You are right we recheck the case and find out that "Product Not installed" is because of V6 Agent and policies is applied in V6. Temporary Policy did not apply because of a network problem. But it seems that this status "Product not installed" in v6 Agent must be corrected in feature release of ESMC.
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted August 23, 2018 ESET Staff Share Posted August 23, 2018 We are not able to fix the older version. The only solution how to resolve the unavailability of policy application status, is by updating Agents to V7.
