ESET & incoming Windows 10 RedStone 5 update

Recommended Posts

Please inform with current version of EIS 11.2.49.0 would be compatible with incoming Windows 10 RedStone 5 (RS5), just to avoid a trouble when user update to this version of Windows such as bluescreen and etc.

Thanks & B/regards,

There's currently just one issue with Webcam protection on Win10 RS5 Insider Preview builds. Otherwise current products work alright.

Not on Aug 20 but we're going to release new business product soon, such as ECMS, EEI, EDTD, new EP, server products and ETH and ETM services based on EEI.

Ok, business product. Anyway, what about any new version of home & consumer product of ESET / EIS? Do you have any ETA to share?

A non-public hotfix addressing issues with debuggers should be available on demand within 1-2 weeks.

Jena, 03. August 2018 – In time for the world's largest trade fair for computer Gaming, the Gamescom 2018, the European IT security manufacturer ESET introduces its new security solutions for private users. The generations 2019 of ESET Smart Security Premium, ESET Multi device Security, ESET Internet Security and ESET NOD32 antivirus offer even better detection of malicious code. In addition, the developers have screwed up the performance of the solutions and integrated a comprehensive security reporting center.

Especially for PC gamers, the performance of the computer is a decisive criterion when it comes to points and values in esports. But even without a professional claim to gaming in leisure time, a PC must not be slowed down by a security solution. The new ESET security solutions for home users are particularly considerate: the gamer is safe on the go online with the protection enabled and can still score points with full performance. This is because the new generation of ESET security suites is very resource-saving and does not force load times or frame rates in gaming to the knees.

Thanks to the new security Reporting Center, not only pro gamers and digital natives always have the security status of your computer in view. The sophisticated information center is part of all ESET security solutions of Generation 2019 and provides an easy-to-understand overview of the current security status of your own PC.

"We look forward to being represented at Gamescom in Cologne this year," says Christoph Thurm, ESET product Manager. "In particular, the very high demands of gamers in terms of performance and safety are an incentive and guideline for us to continuously develop and optimize our security suites."

ESET Security Generation 2019 available from August 20, 2018

One day before the official start of Gamescom 2018 in Cologne, ESET will bring its end-user solutions to market. The security generation 2019 includes four desktop solutions: ESET Smart Security Premium, ESET Multi device Security, ESET Internet Security and eset NOD32 antivirus.

More information about the new generation of ESET retail products can be obtained at this year's Gamescom in Cologne. We are looking forward to your visit to the business center. We are represented there in the market Place Hall 2.1, stand A014-C013.

Hello,

can I use EIS 2019 with a EIS 2018 key? How works that? Do I have to worry that some things do not work with EIS 2018 and the new big Windows update?

This ESET support article states, "Users with a valid license can upgrade to the latest product version for free". So it appears with an active license you would get the 2019 version. :)

Yes that has always been true. As long as it is a like for like product. Unless the policy has changed, a NOD32 user could update to the new release of NOD32.

That same NOD32 user could not update/upgrade to say ESSP without a sales contact (of some type)/price increase.
