Connection to proxy fails on proxy

I am getting this error in the agent status:

Error: CReplicationManager: Replication (network) connection to 'host: "agentproxy" port: 2222' failed with: (0x274d), No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it•Server or proxy probably does not run on remote machine

 

The dns is fine and resolves to the correct ip.

Pinging the ip of the proxy server from any of the affected machines to the server fails, but i can ping them from the proxy server

Maybe a firewall issue?

Please check firewall configuration, and also verify that ERAProxy is actually running and actively listening on port 2222 (netstat or other utilities).
