jinlei801011 2 Posted May 24, 2018 Share Posted May 24, 2018 Few of my customers came to me this few days, their Win10 32 bit system with ESET Endpoint or EAV/EIS installed, encountered "ESET Antivirus Protection is Nonfunctional" issue. Administrators Marcos 5,404 Posted May 24, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 24, 2018 If they are getting an error "Scanner initialization failed", it's related to upgrade to Windows 10 April 2018 Update (v1803). We have published an alert for this: https://support.eset.com/alert6798/. Disabling Protected service in the HIPS setup and rebooting the machine might mitigate the error. Microsoft is looking into it, however, the result is uncertain at the moment. Wherever possible, I'd recommend upgrading Windows 10 x86 to x64 version.
