ESET scan of external drive keeps popping up

I have an external drive attached to my Lenova Thinkpad. Every 5 minutes or so an ESET window pops up and advises that the program has detected my external drive. Meantime, any ppt files from my external drive that I'm working on become unstable and I lose my work! Anyone have a suggestion to stop this? Thx.

I'd suggest contacting customer care so that the case is tracked properly. In the mean time, you can try disabling automatic scan of removable media in the advanced setup:

Thank you. I have an open case with Customer Service. They had me try this, without success. They then had me uninstall/reinstall. I did and afterwards implemented your fix again - keeping my fingers crossed.
