itman 1,751
Win 10 x64 1709, Eset IS 11.0.159.9 Upon today's first cold boot, Eset started updating its modules per Eset GUI status but the updating ran for an extended period of time; at least 5 mins.. Then PC totally locked up; nothing was accessible. Did a restart via case restart button. Upon reboot, all appeared OK. Also appears some Eset modules were updated today. Did a Eset repair just in case anything was "hosed." Will report back if any further issues encountered. This is a "first." Never had Eset hang the PC when it was updating. Administrators Marcos 5,278 Posted April 13, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 13, 2018 To my best knowledge, we haven't received any reports of the system being hung after a module update. I'd suggest configuring Windows to generate complete memory dumps and enabling manual triggering of a crash so that you can generate a dump should the system get hung again. A complete memory dump should reveal the actual cause of the problem.
itman 1,751
Verified this was not an Eset issue. I had a CD Rom drive that decided to "flake off" right when Eset was doing its module updating. Edited April 13, 2018 by itman
