If what Marcos says is correct, you should get 11.0.159.9. https://support.eset.com/kb2476/ Here is the link to older versions. https://support.eset.com/kb2885/ Regards, Tom Edited March 23, 2018 by TomFace
ESET Moderators foneil 342 Posted March 23, 2018 ESET Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2018 I think marcos meant that the in-product PCU update to the latest version has been halted -- the Live Installers still downloads the latest 11.1.42 version. But if you have that installed already, then you don't need to do anything because the in-product upgrades won't install the new version yet. Fresh installs of the latest version are running without issues afaik.

Administrators Marcos 5,273 Posted March 29, 2018 Administrators Share Posted March 29, 2018 Quote In mine it looks a bit different, but same thing i guess: That's because you are using v11.0. Also keep in mind that only v11.1 has a lot of issues present in v11.0 fixed and also added supports for a sort of streaming updates for faster response to new threats which v11.0 doesn't support. I've already got the update via regular channel but asking for the offline .exe installer because I am going to format my system drive in a day or two, so that's why. & I checked the ESET website for the link but didn't find any updated link there for .42.1, only has .42.

Yes definitely, overnight updates are "Coming later in 2018." jk But not jk, that's all the info I have at this time--I felt compelled to include that in the article as a placeholder so people are aware of all the current and planned update types, and so there is a central location to find this information. As more info comes, I will update the content in that KB article.
tommy456 12
I updated (in the programme) to the latest and not so greatest version 11.1.42.1 And there is certainly an issue with scanning files, not just on demand or smart or in-depth scans, but context scans too , I select a file to scan, the notification alert will appear quickly, saying scan complete but the eset GUI window and tray icon still are showing as scanning and hang in this state (never completing ) after the eset processes are restarted (or PC restarted) everything works as intended, but only for a short time then the issue will reproduce, Also in the logs these context scans show as completed Are ESET going to release a fix for this ? or are they going to make rolling back to the earlier 100% working version an easier option? TomFace 539
Yes there are still some issues on scanning. https://forum.eset.com/topic/15011-incomplete-in-depth-scan/?do=findComment&comment=74915 My results are inconsistent. I am still working with US Support. I believe I even had 2 mystery scans self-initiate (showed as a scheduled scan). They were NOT initiated by a detection or a scan setting. I am still testing and logging.
itman 1,748
I just context scanned a 1+ MB directory containing 63 files. Log file said it scanned 63 files. Scan only took 1 sec.. However, files in this directory haven't been updated in years. As such, Eset would have as a result of a previous scan flagged them and they would be ignored in any future scans. Administrators Marcos 5,273 Posted April 3, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 3, 2018 It'd be good to know the result of scanning with the command line scanner ecls.exe which doesn't leverage cache and other smart optimization mechanism to skip trusted files. This might explain a few things. Correction - the directory I previous scanned via Eset context scan had 4 files and 63 objects. The context scan log however recorded the objects as files - might be a bug there. Also ecls scan time shows zero seconds?
tommy456 12
Try something bigger like a folder with a 1gb in size with several EXE type file in it, The time will randomly freeze as will the scanning or the logging/number of files scanned and then resumes but after jumping a lot of files, the flow of data is missing or lagging in the GUI i am now using the Pre-release modules, I almost forgot to mention that using the regular modules when the scanning hung (no disk activity ) from scanning files, the gui was hung showing that scanning was still working ,ie the rotating radar type change in the eset try icon and the beads from left to right, despite the alert window saying it completed the scan and nothing found , and the corresponding entry in the scan log???? and the only way to stop that was to restart the GUI.exe process, There also appears to be a lag delay at the start of an on demand in depth scan (Detection Engine: 17160P (20180403) Rapid Response module: 11871 (20180403) Update module: 1013 (20171116) Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1537 (20180328) Advanced heuristics module: 1187 (20180328) Archive support module: 1273 (20180309) Cleaner module: 1157 (20180319) Anti-Stealth support module: 1128 (20180316) Firewall module: 1374 (20180227) ESET SysInspector module: 1270 (20170808) Translation support module: 1672 (20180309) HIPS support module: 1315 (20180322) Internet protection module: 1329 (20180305) Web content filter module: 1058 (20170406) Advanced antispam module: 7130P (20180403) Database module: 1097 (20180320) Configuration module (33): 1659.3 (20180321) LiveGrid communication module: 1043 (20180205) Specialized cleaner module: 1012 (20160405) Banking & payment protection module: 1127 (20180320) Rootkit detection and cleaning module: 1019 (20170825) Network protection module: 1634P (20180403) Router vulnerability scanner module: 1046 (20180314) Script scanner module: 1035 (20180326) Connected Home Network module: 1019.1 (20180220) Cryptographic protocol support module: 1025 (20171106) Edited April 3, 2018 by tommy456
