plittlefield 0
Is it possible to export the Policies applied to one computer to another laptop outside of the company LAN? We have a laptop which has the incorrect Policy for the ERA Server IP Address and FQDN. How can we change the policy to that laptop? ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted March 1, 2018 ESET Staff Share Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) You can only export the configuration from one configured client locally from a client and bring it to another. Alternatively create a all in one installer with chosen policy (only one) and deploy it on the client. NOTE: This is valid for the Endpoint Client. In case of ERA agent, please use the recommendation provided below by MartinK. Edited March 2, 2018 by MichalJ
ESET Staff MartinK 376 Posted March 1, 2018 ESET Staff Share Posted March 1, 2018 If you have administrative access to the machine, you can use installation repair: On client machine, run AGENT installer: c:\ProgramData\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Agent\SetupData\Installer\agent_x64.msi Choose "Repair" when prompted for operation Fill in hostname and port and check "Keep currently used certificates". AGENT should be connecting to new hostname once installation repair is done. Just one note: be sure to fix policy that changed hostname on AGENT before it is actually connecting again.
