How critical is to upgrade Endpoint client?(Most of our workstations work with 6.6.2046.0) Is it possible to do it automatically, when the new version appears?
And is it ok to run upgrade task for all outdated clients simultaneously?

If 6.6.2046.0 works for you alright and you are not experiencing issues after upgrade from an older version, then you don't have to hurry with upgrade to 6.6.2072.X.

However, if performing a clean install it is important to use the latest 6.6.2072.4 with latest modules to prevent the machines from crashing due to incompatibility of an older AntiStealth module and recent MS updates addressing Meltdown / Spectre vulnerabilities.

Currently you have to create a new Software install task and send it to clients. This will be improved in ESMC (ERA v7).

If you use HTTP proxy to cache files, I'd recommend sending the Software install task to one client so that the installer is cached on the proxy and then continuing with a group of other computers. If everything goes fine, send the task to the rest of the computers.

Generally it is not recommended to install or upgrade Endpoint on all machines at ones because:
1, If an issue occurs, it might affect all computers.
2, If more agents started to download an Endpoint installer at the same time, it would not be cached yet and thus the installer would be downloaded multiple times from ESET's servers.

Hello @Maxim. ,

of course we have a plan to release it, but we are not yet in a phase to publicly announce it, yet.

What I can share is, that it is definitely a huge release with really huge changes and many improvements so stay tuned for sure.

Regards, P.R.
