xxPaulCPxx 0
One of my developer users runs a program called TinyWall, which is an added software Firewall. It appears to not let ESET update all of it's components, as it will block everything UNLESS it has been specifically white-listed. Is there any list of the files that will periodically need to Phone Home?
Administrators Marcos 5,234 Posted February 1, 2018 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2018 You wrote that the application is blocked by ESET. Did you get an alert from your Endpoint? If so, please provide a screen shot of it for clarification.
xxPaulCPxx 0
When I did the install, I had the firewall in "Learning mode", but I think other files need internet connectivity to function correctly too that aren't part of the normal update process. xxPaulCPxx 0
Sorry Marcos - flip that around: ESET isn't blocking - ESET is getting blocked!
Administrators Marcos 5,234 Posted February 2, 2018 Administrators Share Posted February 2, 2018 Please refer to this KB article for information about addresses that must be allowed on a firewall for ESET security products to work: https://support.eset.com/kb332/ It's mainly ekrn.exe and eraagent.exe on endpoints which communicate with various ESET's servers.
