ScottWStewart 2
I am attempting to install ESET Endpoint Security 6.6.2064.0 on the ESET Remote Administrator Server but get an error (please see screenshot below). I ran the Specialized Cleaner and it didn't find any Malware. After this I there is only one option, to close. Has anyone else had this issue? ScottWStewart 2
Any ideas? I really need to resolve this error so I can continue to update my other 76 clients. Our domain is managed off site so I have to manually go to all 76 PCs manually. I would really appreciate some feedback. Should I find a standalone anti-virus scanner to look for Malware sense ESET's solution didn't find any Malware? That's for your help in advance! ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted November 27, 2017 ESET Staff Share Posted November 27, 2017 What version of EES/EAV are you actually updating? I would recommend to check installation logs located in %temp%\eset\ directory on client machine. Full verbosity msiexec log should be present there, which may help. Have you tried to reboot machine and re-run installer? It is possible installation failed because of pending operating system updates.
ScottWStewart 2
ESET Endpoint Security 6.6.2052.0 I rebooted the computer and tried to rerun the installer and got the same results. I'm going to examine the log files next.

ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted November 27, 2017 ESET Staff Share Posted November 27, 2017 I can check log files for obvious problems, but nothing is guaranteed
ScottWStewart 2
I sent the log files from the failed install/updates in a message. Didn't know if there might be sensitive information in them. Thanks again for the help! Edited November 27, 2017 by ScottWStewart Added information. Zoltan Endresz 5
Hi ScotWStewart, I mean the ESET is corrupted or damaged on the affected computer. In same cases usually I reinstall the EES. Please try the following: - Check the following link: https://support.eset.com/kb2289/?locale=en_US - Download the special remover tool from the ESET from the link upper - Copy it into the affected computer - Start the client in Safe Mode (msconfig > restart in safe mode ...etc ) - Start the uninstaller tool and follow the instructions, choose the ESET component, etc... - Restart the client in normal mode - Reinstall the ESET packages (For example the ESET Endpoint Security) The trickly phase will start, if you want to use this walktrough on a remote computer, for example from an another country or subsidiary. Unfortunately the remote session will terminate on the 50% of the cases - you lost the connection but the client running with your credentials. But it is an another story. (The solution: trigger a timed restart process (cmd > shutdown /r /t 120) ) I would be very happy for an another repair method, but I don't know either. I hope I helped
