pps 4
Hello, Is there any option, tool or maintenace task to decrease the database of the ERA v6. It has inside hundreds of thousands unneeded logs and I want to get rid of them. Era version is 6.5 & database is MSSQL Express. Thanks, Peter
ESET Staff MartinK 375 Posted November 27, 2017 ESET Staff Share Posted November 27, 2017 Could you be more specific of what takes so much space? Is it content of ERA database, or tempdb? In case space is taken by ERA database, could you provide output of table size report (standard report in SQL Management Studio)? There may be also problem with so called tempdb, which I described in one of my older posts.
j-gray 31
Install SQL Server Management Studio either on the server or a workstation, connect to the ERA database and you can shrink the database like any other SQL database ( Tasks > Shrink > database). pps 4
The shrink solution worked for me. Also I deleted the old logs and keeped logs for 15 days from ADmin -> Server Settings-> DATABASE CLEANUP: Clean logs older than. Thanks
