Default Browser

My default browser is Chome but I note that ESET recommends IE as default browser. Is there some particular advantage or is it just a 'plug' for IE ?  I can't use IE due to some problem in my system which makes IE incredibly slow and when I set ESET banking to IE it took too long to load the bank websites.

There are many users who don't use IE as default browser and don't have any issues. Where did you read that ESET recommends using IE?
