- hips wildcard is in progress, but can't confirm currently whether it will be done to V7.

Hi

Are there any other new features you can disclose?

Are there any new "Next Generation" features? (from what I understand anti-ransomeware should be part of v7?)

Hello,

@rekun - We are basically evolving the product, from the perspective of evolving / adding various protection layers. We will add the UEFI scanner, introduced in our consumer applications, anti-ransomware protection, improve the cloud-based reputation (cloud based detections) by the means of adding "Dynamic Threat Defense" (fully controlled cloud sand-boxing). Secondly, we are focusing on evolving the product manageability, by the means of allowing of automated application updates, improving exclusions (new forms (by hash), merging policy lists with locally specified lists) + other improvements, focusing on manageability.

@anandm279 - ESET Cloud Administrator is a "spin-off" product for ESET Remote Administrator, will basically include the majority of its´s features, however will be offered as a Cloud Based solution, for small & medium customers (limited up to 250 seats). It will be at first available in "Early Access Program" in selected markets, for invite-only customers. The rest of the customers should get access to it during 2018.

Hi,

Can you speak as to whether the ESET Linux client for Business will be updated?  We've run into numerous management issues with the current v4 version (we're running the v6 console and clients in our environment, except for Linux clients).  It would be very helpful to have an updated linux client that is licensed and managed the same as Windows & Mac.

could you elaborate more on this?

@pbenware New Linux client is in the works. It won´t be released together with the new version of Windows / Management console, however I can assure you, that it´s planned to come later during 2018. If you are interested, we can let you know, when an early access version becomes available.

@0xDEADBEEF I do not want to spoil too much. Basically, it would be another protection layer, that will allow you to send unknown files for replication to "ESET Cloud", where it will be replicated, tested, and within couple of minutes results will be populated back to all connected Endpoints. Based on your "sensitivity" you will be able to configure behavior of Endpoint and / or another connected product. This functionality will also provide full Live Grid visibility (means what is going to be submitted and when + what are the results) and also further improve fine-tuning control of Live Grid behavior.

@MichalJ

That sounds really interesting.

Do you have any early access program for that?

@rekun Not yet. We have not decided yet, whether we will do an early access program for this. If yes, it will be most probably sorted out by March. So stay tuned for further news, or just ping me, when the time comes.
