Citrix XenApp 7.15 VDA Causes System Error Server Loses Settings After Reboot

Having problems with Windows 2012 R2 servers using Citrix XenApp 7.15 VDA (Virtual Delivery Agent).  Ever since 7.15 was installed, overtime the server reboots all changes are lost.

For example, if we create a folder on the root of the C: drive or install a new program, after reboot it's gone.  Even registry settings revert back.

ESET File Security version 6.5.12007.0 installed March 2017.

ESET Remote Administrator Agent installed April 2017.

Working with Citrix tech support who have 3 articles with users having this issue. Is there an update for ESET that corrects this issue?

To my best knowledge, it's necessary to boot from another bootable medium, mount the registry and add " PvsVmBoot" to the BootExecute value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager.

So for people that have same issue, do the following:

Start VM in recovery Windows Mode, press F8 and look that you get into the CMD
Launch regedit
Load Hive SYSTEM (D:\Windows\System32\Config\SYSTEM), give him some random name you want
ADD following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\{Loaded_Hive_Name}\ControlSet001\Control\SessionManager\BootExecute
and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\{Loaded_Hive_Name}\ControlSet002\Control\SessionManager\BootExecute to value autocheck autochk *

PvsVmBoot

Unload hive
Restart VM

Update Eset to the newest version

The BootExecute Value is probably there  buz its missing the line under "PvsVmBoot"1.thumb.jpg.c2960c08257bf275e629b4bacf3257f4.jpg

I too am seeing this issue, but only about 50% of the time. Has anyone figured out a pattern to this?

Im wondering if it is something related to installation order or something?
