ScottWStewart 2
I am running ESET REMOTE ADMINISTRATOR and have 77 clients connected to it. 70 on IP Range 10.19.67.0-10.19.67.254 (wired network), the other clients are on a wireless router. IP range 172.25.151.6 - 172.25.151.254. Only 4 of the wireless clients are showing up in ESET Remote Administrator Console. In the console the count of clients is 77 PCs. I do not know why 3 of them are not showing up. They are getting updated with the latest Defs but the 3 not listed in admin do not kickoff when the others listed do. Therefore I created a full scan in the Scheduler on each machine to initiate the scan every night. I don't understand why 3 of the 7 don't show up in ESET RA. Any help would be appreciated. Hope you guys have some ideas on what I need to do. Thanks in advance!
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted November 2, 2017 ESET Staff Share Posted November 2, 2017 Which version of ERA do you use? Which version of Endpoint client do you use? You mention, that have 77 clients in total, 77 showing in ERA, however only 4 from the specific IP range. So 3 are missing, however the total would indicate, they are connecting, just the IP is not updated / showing correctly. What you mean by "kick off"? ScottWStewart 2
ESET Remote Administrator (Server), Version 6.5 (6.5.522.0)ESET Remote Administrator (Web Console), Version 6.5 (6.5.388.0) ESET ENDPOINT SECURITY 6.6.2052 There is a count of 77 but when I drill down there are only 73. See Attached. By kickoff I mean the scan is triggered to run.
ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted November 2, 2017 ESET Staff Share Posted November 2, 2017 Not sure which report/column are you actually using for IPv4 search, but be aware, that in main clients view, you would see only primary IPv4 address of each computer. This means that devices with multiple address may be showing with wrong one. For example if you have device with two IP addresses, one IP from local network, and secondary IP from wifi, you would see only first IP address, and If I recall correctly, only primary IP address is used with filter. I would recommend to find wifi device by it's name, and check its client details view, where all IP addresses should be visible. Alternatively you could use column "Remote host" in main clients view (not visible by default) to show IP address as it was resolved by SERVER side of connection. Also you could create custom report with IP addresses, where you would see all IP addresses.
