Policies

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to assign one type of policy for an end user, and then when an admin logs into that same workstation it has another policy.

For example, have things hidden for the normal end user.

IT admin logs in and boom has the full suite.

Also I am having issue with some machines not getting the correct policy.  Is there some way to fix this?

Example.  I have the splash screen disabled for all machines, however on one machine it still appears, even though they have been assigned the same policy.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

As of now, the behavior you are trying to achieve is not possible (per user policies are not supported). You always define the settings for the machine, with the exception of rules for device control / web control, which do work taking into account the logged-in user context. But for the rest functionality, this is not supported. We are evaluating adding it in the future, but as of now, there is no clear road-map set.

Regarding the splash screen settings, there was an issue reported in the recent build of Endpoint 6.6 where the hiding of Splash Screen does not work. We are going to fix it in the upcoming service release.
