ptcman 1 Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Today my ESET NOD32 got updated to the latest version 10.1.219.0. From that point on Mozilla Thunderbird cannot connect to my email accounts, getting always a time out message. When I pause ESET protection Thunderbird automatically is able to connect to all my email accounts. Why is the new ESET version blocking Thunderbird?

Thanks Marcos. Thunderbird recently started taking up to a minute to connect to my email account, using the setting you posted it now connects immediately. Edited August 13, 2017 by DinGo
PiWi 0 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Hi, Got recently the same problem on 3 machines after installing updates. Is it necessary to switch this setting ( SSL/TLS scanning ) off and back on after each start-up of Windows? If so, can I also leave it off, as not all users are familiar with this? What will be the risk whit SSL/TLS scanning permanently off? Regards,
