Hi @kiani14

Can you provide us with some info:

  • What version of ESET Remote Administrator?
  • What version of Endpoint the terminals have?
  • Those sub-office are on the same network or in a separate one?
  • The problem is the Virus database update or is they don't report correctly to ERA?

ESET Remote Administrator (Server), Version 6.5 (6.5.522.0)
ESET Remote Administrator (Web Console), Version 6.5 (6.5.388.0)

version of Endpoint 6.5.2094

all sub Office is same network range

the problem is the Virus database update by No active clients.

The name of the computer does not change automatically, when you change it on the computer manually. You have to use a "rename computer task", appointed to a correct static group, that would rename the computers to the currently set FQDN.

I do not understand what you meant by "the problem is Virus database update by no active clients". If the client is not activated, it won´t update its modules (not only VSDB is updated, but more than 20 different protection modules). You have to activate endpoints first, by "product activation task". You have to make sure, that Endpoints have connectivity to ESET Servers, either directly, or via properly configured proxy server.

I would recommend you to contact your local ESET Support representative, that should be able to assist you in your native language.

Hi @kiani14

You can do a Dynamic group with the rule of "not activated ESET Software", so you can send a new task of activation to the group. If they cannot been activated then you have some trouble not reaching the ESET activation servers.

Lets us know the results or problems you may found. :)

What error do you get when you attempt to activate Endpoint manually on a client? Do you activate it with a license key or with security admin credentials?

Activating manually means typing the key locally into the UI of the Endpoint Antivirus / Security application. The dialog displays both an error string and a numeric value, that might help us determining the issue.

How was the license added to your ERA? How you have inserted it? Or someone else have inserted it for you?
