András Káldor 0
Hello Is there a way to create local repository for EEA and EES? Regards András
bbahes 29
I think this feature will bi available in ERA 6.
ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted March 7, 2017 ESET Staff Share Posted March 7, 2017 It will be partially available. There will be a tool, that will allow to create a full dump of the ERA repository (all products, all languages, approx 80 GB of data). However, 6.5 will feature enhanced mechanism of creating installers, and a standalone deployment tool, which might help in deploying to networks without internet connectivity. @András Káldor What use-cases / problems you want to solve with the offline repository? Why the communication forwarded / cached / tunneled via proxy server with caching is not suitable for you?
András Káldor 0
Dear MichalJ Client requested such thing from us. The db of era cannot be used, so he set up a new ERA. He doesn't want to download agent and eea for each pc, and want to install it from a local rep. remotely without user interaction. regads András

When using an http proxy, if you deploy agent and install Endpoint on one machine, the installer will be cached by the proxy so it won't be downloaded again on other machines. Of course, remote installation is done without user interaction; an admin only has to create and send a software install task to desired clients. I know, and told him, but it was not enough for him.
