Scanning when the user is locked

Recommended Posts

Is there any way for my to schedule a scan on my Windows servers and have it actually run when I want it to?  The servers are always on, but they are in a locked state.  Too often have I found that when I login to the serer It immediately sees that it missed the scheduled scan and it does it right then.  It cant do the scan when the account is locked?

Yes, you can schedule a scan via Scheduler which will be run in the background regardless if a user is logged or not.

Sorry, I may be seeing a startup scan fire when I unlock the server.  I'll do some more testing on this.

I know this isn't the correct forum, but is that the same for Endpoint?

There's no such trigger for scheduled tasks. If you create a scan task via Scheduler, you'll see what options are available. Maybe the solution will be the Idle-state scanning feature that is currently a part of home edition.and will be included in the next version of Endpoint, too. It allows for setting the "Computer lock" event as a trigger for a scan.
