Rafamass 0 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 ESET Remote Administrator 6.4.304.0 ESET Endpoint Secutity 6.4.2014 I am trying to create a Device Control policy to block USB devices and allow access to IT support devices and bank tokens. The block policy works, but the allow policy does not works. How can I do this woks properly?
Administrators Marcos 5,453 Posted December 31, 2016 Administrators Posted December 31, 2016 is the allowing rule on top of the rule list? The order of rules determines how they are evaluated and the first matched rule is applied.
bbahes 29 Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 I had nightmare setting up this in v5. Basically simple allow will now work if you don't copy literal string for example for Vendor...If it's missing one empty string rule will not run...I had Vendor name like "Vendor name " (note space at the end). Support suggested that I populate list of devices on client. This is article for v6 hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3442/?viewlocale=en_US
