razorfancy 9
I noticed that Windows Firewall service is still on even though if I access it, it says that ESET Internet Security is managing it. I decide to disable Windows Firewall service but I want to know if that affects ESET Firewall. Edited December 18, 2016 by razorfancy
itman 1,748
You should never disable the Win firewall service. Doing so disables the Windows filtering platform that the Eset and most third party security solutions firewall's use. Administrators Marcos 5,273 Posted December 18, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 18, 2016 Other firewall vendors may not disable Windows firewall completely or they would not pass Microsoft's tests. Also IPSec would not work either.
