Hello to all,

I'm having to much problems with outlook synchronization.

I'm using RPC over HTTP/S connection and I constantly have my outlook not responding, or my e-mail with more then 1Mb don't leave the outbox, and many times I've diferences between outlook inbox the OWA inbox.

I've try to open the ports on firewall, and also disable the firewall, but the problem remains.

The only way that I can solve this issue is by uninstalling ESET, and when ESET is removed the outlook works just fine.

Thank in advances for all support that you can give me.

Regards

Antonio Julio

You're not the only one.  I have had 9 separate users have the same problem since November 22nd.  I've called support and they stated they're not aware of this, they just want to remote in to see the problem.  I tried to change the settings to bypass Outlook all together and it still fails to send items in the outbox.  I had to completely remove Eset both Antivirus and Eset Security on my clients to see the items leave the outbox in outlook.  I have a mix of 2010 and 2016.  I'm a reseller and not having this very important software work for my clients is NOT GOOD!  So I'm switching to Viper.  Don't want to but this is a disaster.

Does switching to pre-release update servers in the advanced update setup make a difference?

Nothing works.  Not even the turning off of the settings for Outlook in the mail section of protection.  Nothing.  This is turning out to be a disaster for me.  I am a reseller and my phone is ringing off the hook,

Strange, but now I've installed back again the Eset and for now the outlook is working fine. I just don't know for how much time...

But I'll come back to this topic if the problem come back.

The problem just back again...

If ESET doesn't have a solution for this I've to get back to kaspersky or try a new one :( for me is a sad because I like ESET and i'm a eset user for more than 7 years. But me and my company users can't leave with this issue. Outlook must working at 100%.

Does temporarily disabling protocol filtering in the advanced setup make a difference? If so, what version of the Internet protection module do you have? You can check the version of installed modules in the About window.

No.  You have to remove Eset all together.  Now my removal list is up to 14 on my clients Outlook sending problem.

It's weird then because only protocol filtering and email plug-ins can affect POP3(S)/IMAP(S) communication. Does the problem persist with both protocol filtering and Outlook integration disabled? Does disabling firewall or any other protection module help?

If you have contacted Customer care regarding the issue, provide me with details so that I can look up logs in the ticketing system.

I would need to check program's configuration at the time the issue occurs. Please provide logs from ESET Log Collector from the time when you have disabled various ESET features / options and the problem persists. Also Wireshark logs from both working and non-working state could shed more light.

ALl my clients are using Exchange.   Now up to 14 clients removed.  This is a disaster for me.

As I wrote, with protocol filtering, Outlook integration and firewall disabled, ESET does not intervene in network communication whatsoever. Disabling which of these make a difference? Would it be possible to arrange a remote session? Do you have pre-release updates selected?

Hi,

My provider told me that the comunication with exchenge service is RPC over HTTP/S, not pop or Imap, if I  use imap to connect for instance to Gmail works fine, the problem is connecting to exchange services using the RPC over HTTP/S.

Disabling firewall doesn't solve the issue, the only solution is install the all product.

I'm using version 10, but the problem also occurs in version 9. In version 8 the problem doesn't occurs.

Please post the information about installed modules from the About window so that we can check if you have the latest version of the Internet protection module installed.
