itman 1,754
The question is why are outgoing e-mail attachments being scanned in the first place? Scanning of incoming attachments are a must. Scanning of outgoing attachments are a waste of computer resources.
Administrators Marcos 5,286 Posted December 5, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 5, 2016 It could make sense to scan outgoing email as somebody might unwittingly attempt to send out malware in an archive. Unlike real-time protection, email protection scans archives internally and would detect the malware. However, that scenario is highly unlikely to happen, especially given that archives are fully scanned upon download. I can't tell how the fix (workaround) affects outgoing communication as SMTP communication is not scanned but it's been confirmed that the new module helped. Hi Marcos, tried pre-relase updates and run manual update but still the same, cannot receive email if attachment more than 2MB Thanks Please post information about installed modules from the About window. Also try the following, one at a time, and see which makes a difference: - disable automatic start of real-time protection and restart the computer - disable protocol filtering - disable HIPS and restart the computer - disable firewall in the advanced setup

Administrators Marcos 5,286 Posted December 20, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 20, 2016 With v9 installed, you should switch to pre-release updates or simply upgrade to v10.
