coreit 0
I have an Active Directory cleanup in process. We have renamed several machines in AD and I'm wondering how to replicate those changes to the ESET Remote Administrator. I just went ahead and deleted all the machines from ERA and as it repopulated, the names were still the old PC names. Any way to force these replications? I think I can rename the PC's one at a time manually in ERA, but that is not ideal.
RyanTsai 3
Try doing a "Rename Computers" server task.
coreit 0
I tried do that this morning. I waited a few hours and haven't seen any names update. I'm not expecting any updates on the mobile users as they may not be in the office or even in the VPN. I'll wait a while longer, but any other ideas? ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted November 9, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted November 9, 2016 Rename computer task uses FQDN/ComputerName as reported by AGENT. Could you please check what is renamed client reporting? It is shown in client details view, in subsection named "Device identifiers".
