  1. Hello, When I scan a 3.5Go+ zip file with the CLI scan tool (esets_scan) it crash with Trap/Breakpoint trap (Core dumped) error. My PC have enough RAM as the crash occured at ~40% RAM used. I succesfully scanned the same file throught the GUI witch in-depth profile. I succesfully scanned the same file with the option --max-arch-level=3 (3 is the max, 4 crash the scan). I succesfully scanned the same file but unziped before runing the scan. The zip contains multiple file : jar, msi installer, and more. esets_scan version : 4.0.93 System : Ubuntu 18.04.2 Tried with disable apparmor. Tried to copy the "in-depth" profile from the GUI with the command line tool. The used command line : /opt/eset/esets/sbin/esets_scan --aind --clean-mode="none" --no-quarantine --log-all --max-arch-level=10 --preserve-time "FILE" I would really appreciate some insight on this as it may be a bug in the CLI tool itself.
  2. Hi, so I've been having this problem for a week or so and I can't find a way to fix it. My ESET Personal Firewall + Windows Firewall are turned off for some random reason. It says that I should immediately restart my PC. I restarted it and I got the same message again. I tried re-installing it and nothing happened. When I tried to turn on Windows Firewall it didn't let me because of ESET. I'm using ESET Internet Security 10.0.369.0. Here are some screen shots: I'm usingg Windows 10 Pro. If anyone could help me please reply to this post.
  3. Since ESET Online Scanner has been updated to version 2, I have not been able to use it on my PC. Version 1 worked fine. I ran it once a month to give a 'second opinion' to Comodo suite (installed and active) and MBAM (run manually once a week). Version 2 downloads, installs, starts, downloads virus descriptions, and starts scanning. (But that's all I know: the scan takes over 5 hours, so I run it overnight and have never seen it at scan completion.) When I come back to it, there is an incomplete and unresponsive GUI window, sometimes showing one or two lines of text indicating that a threat has been identified. Clicking on the window generates the Windows pop-up 'EOS_v2 has stopped working'. On Tuesday I stopped the scan early to deal with two or three already identified threats. This all worked fine, so I restarted it, but the problem (eventually) recurred. This suggests that the error may be occurring after the scan has completed? Yesterday I decided to search ESET Forums for advice, and found this thread: https://forum.eset.com/topic/8542-online-scanner-crashes/ It recommended downloading Procdump and running this to capture the crash. I have tried this. The crash actually occurs when you mouse-click on the unresponsive window. So, I now have a 384MB Procdump file... ...what now? PC is an elderly Dell Dimension E520 running Vista SP2 (32-bit). Can you help please?

  5. ERA 6.x Security product fail to install at ESET With respect, I represent the company with 240 Eset Endpoint Antivirus Business licenses. Few days ago we implemented ESET Remote Administrator 6.x installation. We are using the linux based virtual appliance installation. It is the most cuurent one. We were using the ESET ERA 5.x succesffully with no problems at all - last few years. Lets put asside the fact that ERA 6.x is currently a major stepback in functionallity and managebility. It's web console is laggy and having lots of issues on latest FF i Chrome browsers. It offten crashes. But' hopefully this will get better in time. I would kindly ask if i get some help. I'am stuck and i am unable to install ESET Endpoint Antivirus (aprox 120 licences). I am able to install the ERA 6.x agents, but not the ESET Endpoint Antivirus. All computers are with ESET 6.x Agents and old 5.x Endpoint Antivirus software deployd wia old(er) 5.x ERA Server/console. Client installation tasks get into "Task started" and then "Task failed". It's a Active Directory managed enviroment and i am logging in (to domain) with an domain administrator level account. Computers are accessing the internet via Microsoft ForeFront TMG proxy. It was pretty easy to install the security products on ERA 5.x. ERA 6.x has lots of problems. We are unable to wait and i need some help instlling the AV products to our network. So, WHERE ARE THE INSTALLATION LOGS? Why are my tasks "failed"? What can I do about it?
