  2. Hi, I run esets 4.5.5 on a few debian/linux machines with Mail Security & File Security licences, and with sendmail as MTA. Instead of having Eset to clean mails by deleting infected attachments, I would like it to just reject the mail. How should I? I tried to put the following in esets.cfg: action_av_deleted = "reject" But mails are still cleand and accepted with "cleaned by deleting" in mail body. How can I set esets to just reject those mails? Best regards
  3. Hallo together, i want to block certain file types like .bat, .exe, .pif (... packed in a zip file) and so on with Eset Mail Security for Linux (we are running version 4.0.10 installed on a debian based linux). User Marcos wrote in post https://forum.eset.com/topic/7247-future-wish-email-client-protection/?p=39212that it is possible to do so, but i have no idea where to configure this. I didn't find anything in the user manual or in the config file. Or in this forum Esets update mechanism says, there is an update available to version 4.5.3, but i think 4.5.3 is not v6 Can some
  4. Hi, i have a question because i once tried to update our Eset Mail Security for Linux on a debian based machine from version 4.0.10 to 4.5.3. I opened a support case at the german support team by mail in january, but they did not reply to me. I hope someone here can help me. After the upgrade to 4.5.3 the behavior differs from the state before. I tried to send the eicar test virus to my internal test account. With the old version 4.0.10 the recipient gets the cleaned up mail, the "full" mail goes into the quarantine. The daemon_notification_script was called and sent a mail to the administ

  6. Hello, just setting up a standard template configuration file through ESET configuration editor for the ESET File Secuiry for Linux product but I can't seem to find options for alerts and notificaton like the Windows products have. Is it possible this is configuratble under a different heading? We also use the inbuilt Access Setup > password protect settings in the Windows products but I can't find similar settings in the Linux server product, is there an option for setup protection in the Linux EFS for Linux? Thanks Siobhan
  7. Hello, Is there an option to protect the setup in the Linux version of file server security as there is with the Windows file server version? also is it possible to define alerts to send to an email address as we can do with the Windows versions? If I wanted to install on one host, edit the config from the Remote Administrator's configuration editor and deploy back to the server, can I then copy that configuration file to use for future installs? is there a single config file location or is the file location determined by the method of the configuration? i.e command line configurat
