  1. Hi, after 6.3 upgrade i have many problems. When will be released a new ERA version to solve this isseues? Now "last connection status" work (after /etc/my.cnf edit), but the problem about tasks remain. Thnaks!

I have ERA 6.3 Linux based, installed by "ova" files on a virtual machine on my VMWare ESXi, and after upgrade (from 6.2 to 6.3) I have problems with the "last connection" state: after exactly two hours the ERA server stop all communications with my clients. If I restar operating system (with the command "service eraserver restart" CentOS tell me service unrecognized), this problems is solved (only for two hours) but immediately is impossible perform any task from the webconsole like install agent, update licence, or any other task.   8. I recently upgraded several computers from ESET Smart Security v8 to v9. I use the firewall in interactive mode and have developed a reasonable number of specific rules so rather than a clean install and manual recreation of all the rules, I installed the newer version over the older, thus achieving migration of my v8 setting to v9 (as otherwise v8 configuration files are not compatible with v9). The procedure went well mostly. The problems I had were: 1) Firewall rules which use manually created zones in v8 are not functional or editable in v9. They are displayed in ESET SS v9 -> Setu
  9. Hi After I upgraded from v6.1 to 6.2 I first had to deal wit freezing computers. By replacing the network.dll that issue seems to be resolved. But now my clients cannot update anymore. They use the proxy. On my ERA server I can see the update sessions for my computers when I run netstat -a, but clients "cannot connect to server" What am I missing? So far, ERAv6 gives me too much annoying issues to be honest. Greetings, Alexander
  10. I cannot update from version 8 to 9 plus i cannot delete the existing version as the file NUP6597.msi has disappeared from my windows 7 computer. I suspect it has something to do with updating to Windows 10 and returning to 7 because of conflict problems between ESET and Windows. Should I deinstall using the ESET deinstaller or not?
  11. One of our user had CD of ESS version 7 and started the installation in windows 7. While setup, If installer is older the we get the tick option to download the latest version and install. So I selected the same and setup has started to download latest version, after successful download I get version 9 installed in client system. But now GUI shows some message on the home screen that Anti-Phising protection is non functional and I can see only Computer protection and Internet protection under Setup tab.   12. Hi I'm following this guide (hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3553/) to upgrade from v4.5 of ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange on Windows Server 2008 R2. Installation appears to have stuck whilst 'Uninstalling drivers'. Anyone know how to get the installation to complete? Thanks
  13. ERAS 6.2 has lot of bells and whistles that seem really great. I'd fully upgrade 6.1 to 6.2 if there weren't concerns of performance instability on client devices. Installation of the hotfix is not an option at this time. 1. Would it be possible to upgrade ERAS and EEA products to 6.2, but continue using 6.1 ERA Agents on client devices? 2.   14. Hi dears, We upgrade our ERA V6.1 to 6.2 and right now we send Remote Administrator Components Upgrade task to clients that have Agent ver6.1.365.0 . The server apache proxy is upgrraded to 2.4.16. The clients are offline and the apache proxy setting is set to ERA Agent policy to update it self via proxy.   15. Hello, I've just upgraded ESET Endpoint to version 6.2.2021 on Win 7 32 bit from the 5.1.1 version Family. When I noted that there is no longer an MSCONFIG item under the new installation, I did some digging and found this. The software installation introduces the following ESET.com Trusted Zone entries in the Registry unbeknownst to the user. Since the above were likely introduced in order for the sites in question to be "trusted" by the Browser, it is not opt-in, therefore I have manually removed these entries as they are not required nor are they necessary.   16. Hi, Recently i have updated all computers in my network to latest version of eset. It went quite smooth, but it turned out that i have forgotten to include one feature in installation parameter (Any chance of adding them as checkbox to ERA ?).   17. Don't you think it's time to create a new linux version? The actual version 4 is quite old. All other ESET products are already at the version 7 and version 8 is in the beta state. So I think ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux also should be updated. A great thing that will be added in this case is ESET LiveGrid and many other technologies that aren't there in version 4.   18. Hi, I can't manage to update version 5 to NOD32 Antivirus 8. I get a message that the installation package is unfindable. See attachment (I'll translate the Dutch message): Cannot find the path C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\Installer\ei_4DE2.msi. Check if you have access to this location and try again, or search the installation package ei_4DE2.msi in a folder from which you can install the product ESET NOD32 Antivirus.   20. Good afternoon, I would like to ask you for help. I'm using virtual appliance of ERA 6.1. I've create task for upgrading ERA components to new version 6.2, but during upgrade server froze.   24. Hello, We are using ESET Antivirus software on Ubuntu workstations. The latest is 4.0.79.0. The problem is this version messes up chromium-browser rendering it useless (constant "aw snap!" errors). There is a fix for Home users in version 4.0.81.0.   25. Hello! On a MS Windows Server 2012 R2 we have ESET File Security 4.5.12017.0 installed -- see the attachment. I tried to upgrade it to the latest version available for download: 4.5.12071.0 but after starting the installation package (efsw_nt64_enu.msi) the wizard offers only to repair or remove the installation, not to upgrade -- see the attachment. Instead the wizard should present the options as shown at hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2790,Figure 1-2. How to solve this issue? -- rpr.
