  1. I'm using the ESMC CentOS appliance, it's been running for over a year. Logging into the ESMC server I see the CentOS machine in Linux Computer list, but, shows it was last connected over a year ago, and so, I can't use ESMC server to use Client Task to command updates to CentOS or update the ESET Agent. What might be reason that CentOS ESET Agent can't connect? Certs? Is there a way to trigger ESET agent in the appliance? My overarching task is to update 'everything': CentOS, ESMC to latest 7.3, then the clients. Versions: CentOS (64-bit), Current Version 7.5.1804 ESET Security Management Center (Server), Version 7.0 (7.0.471.0) ESET Security Management Center (Web Console), Version 7.0 (7.0.429.0) Agent Current Version everywhere other than CentOs: 7.1.2053.0 From VSphere, in the VM Appliance window, I see Server & Agent Version 7.0471
  2. Hello. I have ESMC v7.2.1266.0 running with Microsoft SQL Server 2017 (RT Express Edition (64-bit) v14.0.2027.2. I'm doing some maintenance in our environment and I see that SQL Server 2017 CU21 was released on 7/1/2020. The version I'm running (v14.0.2027.2) was released 7/9/2019. My question is am I able to upgrade our SQL to CU21 without causing any major issues with ESET? I believe it should be okay, but I wanted to see if anyone else has upgraded their DB or if the version of ESMC has be using SQL v14.0.2027.2.   3. Good Morning guys. We're planning to upgrade from ERA Server 6.1 to ESMC 7 soon. I'm having some doubts about it, if someone elucidate these questions I would be thankful. 1- The old 6.5.522 Agent installed on my clients will be compatible with the new server (ESMC 7) if I migrate the DataBase correctly from the old Server? Or I will have to upgrade all agents from my network to the latest version (7.1) before migrate my server? Since if It's not compatible i won't be able to send a command to update the agent, and I will have to do this manually, right? 2- I already read about this and says it compatible, but I'm not sure. The ERA products license is compatible with the ESMC products? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am a little disappointment about no notifications about the new version, in this case Cyber Security: 6.5.600.5, also there is no changelog so I don't know whats new about this new update Also no response for Eset labs about the files I sent 3 days ago "If the issue is not resolved within two days and the matter is urgent, please send a follow-up email message with the following information: Subject line of email that was sent to samples@eset.com.   8. Hello, Is there any option, tool or maintenace task to decrease the database of the ERA v6. It has inside hundreds of thousands unneeded logs and I want to get rid of them. Era version is 6.5 & database is MSSQL Express. Thanks, Peter
  9. Hi, Currently we are doing ESET POC for one of our client. The ERA server is connected to proxy for access to the internet. After configuring the proxy details in Servers Setting in ESET Remote Administrator, the ESET Repository able to work and create the all in one installer. We also had set the HTTP Proxy Policy for both product and Agent to the endpoint (ERA IP). Currently the endpoint is not receiving the update from the ERA Server. When we check in Apache HTTP Proxy folder for Cache, it was empty, didn’t store any cache for ESET Update file. My assumption here is the apache is listening to its own IP where by right its must be configured to client’s own proxy to connect to internet and download the update file.   10. Hello, I recently installed new software package updates via Webmin to both of our ERA consoles this weekend, and I'm now unable to login to ERA with domain credentials. Error is showing on login page as "Login Failed" ( I tried multiple accounts, all of which have previously logged into ERA). Local Admin accounts for ERAs are working correctly. I rejoined domain and ran some tests to verify everything was working correctly (ERA versions are both 6.5.417.0). I rejoined the domain successfully, and then ran the following commands: wbinfo -p ##Ping was Successful## wbinfo -u ##User list was returned## wbinfo -g ##Groups list was returned## The domain controller showed the successful connection in the logs and at that point I stopped looking at this being the potential problem. However, in looking at the ERA server trace log, I'm getting the following error after each login attempt: ##2017-10-09 16:16:07 Error: ConsoleApiModule [Thread 7fcf28fe9700]: Untranslatable CInterModuleException: ConvertDomainUserSidToGroupsSids: 'wbinfo' failed with 1, stderr: ##failed to call wbcLookupUserSids: WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND ##Could not get user's domain groups for user SID X-X-X-XX-XXXXX.......... I installed the updates via "Webmin>Software Package Updates" and also "Webmin>Software Packages". After doing some research of different portions of the error, I'm fairly certain this involves the python package and that package was installed with "Webmin>Software Packages". Long story getting longer, I will end my post with these two questions: 1. Where do I even start in order to attempt to fix this? 2. In order to keep the CentOS 7 back-end of the ERA up-to-date, what is the recommended procedure for doing so? I've only ever used "Webmin>Software Package Updates" and this was the first time I happened to install what was under "Webmin>Software Packages", which I'm assuming that Python package is the cause of my issue. Thanks in advance for all the help. Hopefully this won't be too difficult to fix. Fingers crossed.
  11. Hi there folks; My old PC is on it's last legs; the video card is clapped out, the hard drive isn't reading properly, and I've had the Blue Screen of Death three times in ten days. Time to upgrade. Not before time, this one is getting on. Everything is backed up, and the new system is being brought to life. But... How do I migrate my existing NOD32 license over to a new PC? I presume (and please, feel free to correct me) that it will be a case of downloading the trial from the web and then entering my license key. Or am I wrong? And if I'm right, I'm damned if I can find where my license key is inside the program. I know I put it in there somewhere, so any hints 'n' tips would be appreciated. I'm using ESET version, and will be migrating between two 64 bit systems, running Windows. Thanks!

  13. Situation: ERA Appliance is up to date on Version 6.5.417.0 The Win7Pro clients are on ERA; Endpoint AV 6.4.2014.0 Triggering an "Modules Update" task either via context menu or via an new created task including "clear update cache" fails. How to get the new versions running?

  16. Do updates have a digital signature? Are the update files checked before installation to determine whether these files actually created ESET? I'm wondering if an intruder can forge EES update files? To replace modules with yours?
  17. Hello. Can you tell me. Why Eset Endpoint Antivirus for windows I can update offline with a flash drive, and in Endpoint Antivirus for linux there is no such possibility. Why is that?
  18. So we have been under a "Temporary License" for an extended period while some details were worked out with VDI environments. Now we have purchased a 3 year license and I have imported that license in the console. The agents that were deployed under the Temporary License still report in as such. Is there a method for transfering/updating these installations to run under the new/official license, or am i going to have to rip and replace the existing installs with new agents under this new Business License?

And how can I verify that Apache HTTP Proxy is properly functioning? I have Windows domain with ERA Server (based on CentOS virtual appliance) at one host ERA Apache HTTP proxy based on Ubuntu 16.04 server (configuration according to hxxp://help.eset.com/era_install/65/en-US/index.html?http_proxy_installation_linux.htm).

  21. Hi everybody, since Windows 10 has installed the "Creators Update" I get the "security warning" from ESET that my "Media control is not functioning" (rough translation from the German text). As a remedy the message says: "Start your computer anew as soon as possible"; I don't know how often I've startet my PC in the meantime: The message still keeps appearing. What can I do? On this polcy i set Update Server as (picture1) ( is the server where ESET Remote Administration installed.)   24. Hi, When will ESET release a new version of SysResuce Live CD? I have found it only work with old model of computers, I can't even get the network connection to work with new model of computer, such as Intel i219-lm. At the same time, can ESET make the SysResuce USB in Persistent mode, in that case we can save the virus definition and possibly update the driver. Thanks, Yan
  25. Hi, I have recently bought ESET ANTIVIRUS for android. Since a few days ago, the msg says it's "update detection modules". From my memory, it usually takes seconds to finish it, but this time it's taking more than 3 days. Is there anyone who's experiencing the same? any solution?
