  1. DESlock Client 4.8.11 Improved: Full Disk Encryption. New utility Bootloader Keyboard Manager allows management of which keyboard layouts are available in the pre-boot authentication. Access via new Settings FDE page. Improved: (Enterprise Client only) Full Disk Encryption. Encryption status of Workstations is now available via the notification area icon. Fixed: Fixed an issue where disk layout information may not be correctly reported on systems with an SD bus disk. On standalone clients the error seen would have been "This copy of Windows is not installed on the primary boot drive. Running full-disk encryption may result in data corruption and being unable to start your computer." (Reported with ASUS EeeBook). On managed clients, the problem can either show no disks for the workstation or report that disk information has changed when starting encryption. Fixed: Full Disk Encryption. When upgrading from versions prior to v4.8.0 to v4.8.4 or v4.8.5 only the BIOS keyboard layout was available. Fixed: Full Disk Encryption. I am getting below error message while importing the license file. /opt/eset/esets/sbin/esets_lic --import /tmp/ESET_File_Security_for_Linux_10_BT_NIL_NC_EAV-30294978.lic error[327b0000]: Cannot import license /tmp/ESET_File_Security_for_Linux_10_BT_NIL_NC_EAV-30294978.lic: Invalid signature Please help in this matter ASAP.
  4. Dear all! Back story of my question: I created an uninstall task (to uninstall agent) from erac console. It's working, cleans the agent, the task comes back with "task failed" messeage, wich is normal, we discussed that before i accepted period. I do unintall task by mass, meaning I target 50+ computers, as i see, the uninstalling is go one bye one, which is unconvenient because if i remember correctly, to reach task failed status is something like 20 minutes. I am using: ESET Remote Administrator (Server), Version 6.4.295.0 Questions: 1. Can i do something to speed up this process? 2. What will happen if a computer offline at the unstall momment, will it try to run the uninstall task when it turned on? Sorry for misspelling.

Hola tengo el inconveniente on el archivo tempdb de de la base de datos que se llena ocupando gran parte del disco y me genera problemas con la consola y con las actualizaciones y toca estar reiniciando el servidor para liberar el tempdb pero de igual manera se va incrementando llenando el disco.

  8. Hi All, Please let me know, how I am suppose to remove Mobile Device entry from ERA database manually & safely. I have removed ESET Endpoint Security from mobile and removed the entry from ERA, but the device is reappearing in the ERA console again and again. Note: I am using latest version of ERA 6.4.   10. My ESET Smart Security 9 is about to expire and I can't renew it... I click the renew license link through the SS's main page and it sends me to my web browser which tells me "That username or license key is not recognized by our system " I contacted live support, and the guy tells me that there is an internal issue and to phone the support line. Your support line is only open Mon-Fri 8-4:30pm, I work the same hours, and I'm not taking time off to renew something that should be so simple! Should I just be buying a new antivirus program, or is this problem going to be resolved in the next day or so? I question how well my system is being protected when a simple renewal system is beyond ESET's ability to repair! What happen to you ESET? I use to swear by your antivirus, now you can't even protect my email on Windows 10, or at least provide the data to view under your program... see my other posts from a near a year ago, that still haven't been resolved. Maybe you can help someone else by replying to this...

  13. For many years I am an ESET customer. But last time I wanted to prolong my license, a stupid problem occurred. hxxp://www.eset.com/int/renew sends me directly to hxxp://shop.esetnod32.ru/catalogue/home/ which is a website exclusively in Russian. What is more ridiculous is that their tech service do not speak any English and rudely demand to write in Russian... most funny is the fact that two years ago I already reported the problem to ESET, and had to call the technician in the US to make a payment on my behalf - two years passed - ESET still thinks that I should learn Russian to be their customer... Only an [snip] may think that whoever enters the Internet from Azerbaijan should speak Russian. Please fix it - at least give your customers a chance to select where they renew licenses online. Thank you for your understanding.
  14. Hi. It is migrating from version 5 to version 6, uninstall tasks alos version 5 clients were sent. When the installation of version 6 is sent generates error "The computer will not restart after uninstalling a program, restart the computer and run the installation again" . But computers have restarted several times but the error continues.   16. Hello, I upgraded to ESET 9.x a couple of months ago. I immediately found that the new interface presents some serious usability issues, but I waited patiently for following updates to fiss this mess. Unfortunately, in recent Software updates, nothing changed on this front, so I decided to create a user account for this forum to ask whether it is planned to fix at least the most annoying issues, or if this is the "new course" ESET is willing to pursue, in which case I will decide on my next renewal accordingly. The issues - mainly tied just to (very poor) UI design - are the following 1) the Interactive Mode popup is mostly useless: - there is no longer the possibility to "Create a custom rule" from said popup: you only decide to create an Allow or Deny "Create a rule and remember permanently" with the selected options - the "Remember until application quits" option when HIPS popups show up is utterly useless: especially during windows updates, the SAME executable spawns tens of popups one after the other, even if the options selected along with the "Remember until application quits" should basically whitelist that executable for anything it could attempt until it closes (and no, I do not want to create a permanent rule for an executable which will only run ONCE, as my rule list would get incredibly long and cluttered for no good reason) 2) the Rules editor in the Personal Firewall advanced setup has suffered a heavy blow in the last edition of the UI: while I can understand (and appreciate) the possibility of showing rules in order of execution, I permanently lost the possibility to group rules by application, and - even more shocking - there is no way to display the list of rules ordered by any other column! Why on Earth can't I just click on the "Application" or the "Protocol" column to change the order the rules are displayed (not executed) is beyond me... This makes it very difficult (and incredibly annoying) to manage different rules for the same application, especially if those rules were created at different times and end up being all over the place... (yes, I know there is a very cumbersome filter funcion on the top-right, but it's nowhere near as useful as it should be) The previous UI was working way, way, way better, and (even if this is subjective) it was also clearer to read... this one, with its ample white spaces and its low-contrast grays, and the general lack of icons, hinders way more than it helps, and this is clearly a sign something is seriously wrong with it... If this is the new look you want ESET applications to have, I can adapt, but at least don't strip away functionalities when you make these changes (especially if there is no good reason to do that).   18. Dear all! I am testing my new agent uninstall task. No matter how i try i alwas get task failed messeage. But, the agent completly removed from the target machine, event log said: Windows Application log: Product: ESET Remote Administrator Agent -- Removal completed successfully. Sooo why is the error at the console?? Test environment: win7 x64 enterprise Tried with multiple computers, agent and client both installed with push install from erac, and works fine. I am using ESET Remote Administrator (Web Console), Version 6.4.266.0 I checked google, and this forum not found similar problem, if so please show me the right topic. Thank you.
  19. ESET with AV remover, if installed manually, flags FireFox for removal. In ERA, running an OPSWAT "third party AV remover" removes FireFox automatically. OPSWAT task in ERA removes ESET if ESET is installed manually. See screenshots of what is flagged. Also see the before screenshots where we did not remove FireFox automatically and after the OPSWAT task is run on ERA where FireFox gets auto removed and ESET gets auto-removed (no screenshots of the ESET removal). In ERA the OPSWAT task shows "failure". I have logs and can upload securely on demand.
  20. i use All-in-one installer (agent + ees) and GPO with run-once startup script who run "ERA_Installer_x86_en_US.exe --silent" to manage eset on domain. ERA_Installer_x86_en_US.exe on workstation successful install agent, but not ees. To install application (ees) on these failed clients I create Software install task (ESET Endpoint Security 6; version 6.4.2014.0 for windows (Microsoft Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP), language en_US). Who failed with: "Task failed, try to install software manually." I added software-install.log as attachment, but I think interesting part is: "Product: ESET Endpoint Security -- Error 1921. Service 'ESET Service' (ekrn) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services." Also failed when i try install on local workstation with admin permissions: ees_nt32_enu.msi /qn /log c:\temp\install.log I added install.log as attachment too. On workstation services 'ESET Remoter Administrator Agent' and 'ESET Service' log on as Local System account. What I do incorrect ? I already twice(maybe three) sent questions e-mail to ESET twe weeks ago. and not yet received answer mail. i don't have idea why i purchased license. i was stupid.
  22. I just upgraded to Sierra but did not update ESET CSP beforehand. As soon as I started up in Sierra I was greeted with an alert "Unsupported OS: OS 10.12." I tried to run CSP to see if an update was available but each time the alert popped up and nothing else. I uninstalled CSP, restarted, downloaded the newest version and am attempting to install it now. However, nothing runs once I mount the disk image and click "Install ESET Cyber Security Pro." Does anyone have a solution? Am I the only one experiencing the issue?
  23. Hi, We recently installed version 6 of Eset Remote Admin to deploy ESET Endpoint solution for 280 machines. We used to deployed before ESET products until V5 ,on several of our sites, and were satisfied with the service and without any problems.. The solution, in the version 6 was installed with the following blocks: - Apache HTTP Proxy - ESET Remote Administrator Server - Web Console - Rogue Detection sensor - ESET Endpoint v6 - Eset administrator Agent (on all clients and ESET Endpoint our 280 machines) We encounter a problem despite having scrupulously followed the procedure for installing the HTTP proxy (installed with all-in-one installation). Our customers are unable to go through the proxy to download their updates, but connect directly to the internet, despite the correct strategy .. This is problematic because we may saturate the bandwidth if all the workstations installed download their updates from ESSET server directly on the net. Despite the good configuration, it seems the cache server will not be able to download updates. We have not set a password to pass on the Apache HTTP proxy.   24. I have just upgraded to Windows 10 Build 1607 (Anniversary Update). While upgrade edevmon.sys was creating BSODs so I removed ESET and upgraded to Build 1607. But when I tried to install it again, (using installer downloaded via eset official site) crashes started all over again. I was forced to uninstall ESET to get system running all over again. I am getting SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error. Caused by: edevmon.sys I am attaching screenshot that gives more detail about error. Kindly help, so that I can again start using ESET.
