This issue was posted below and not resolved. I've tried this on IE and on Chrome and web control and SSL just doesn't work together when I turn web control on.
I've tried turning SSL on and off under "web and email" main menu and under web access protection "ssl" but it doesnt seem to make any difference. the only way I can allow it to view SSL is if I turn off web control completely.
The web control filters http perfectly - its only when say you go to facebook and it switches to https that I get:
Certificate-based authentication failedERR_BAD_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT
This server requires a certificate for authentication and didn't accept the one sent by the browser. Your certificate may have expired or the server may not trust its issuer. You can try again with a different certificate, if you have one, or you may have to obtain a valid certificate from elsewhere.
