  2. Hi guys, after few days running ERAS Virtual Appliance (upgraded from 6.3 to 6.5) suddenly ERA web service stopped working, after restart VM it is same - webUI says HTTP Status 404 - type Status report message description The requested resource () is not available. Apache Tomcat/6.0.24 and after stoping and starting tomcat /etc/init.d/tomcat6 start /usr/share/tomcat6/logs/catalina.out says Apr 06, 2017 11:44:31 AM org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener init INFO: The APR based Apache Tomcat Native library which allows optimal performance in production environments was not found on the java.library.path: /usr/java/packages/lib/amd64:/usr/lib64:/lib64:/lib:/usr/lib Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol init INFO: Initializing Coyote HTTP/1.1 on http-8443 Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina load INFO: Initialization processed in 831 ms Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardService start INFO: Starting service Catalina Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngine start INFO: Starting Servlet Engine: Apache Tomcat/6.0.24 Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig deployDirectory INFO: Deploying web application directory era Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext resourcesStart SEVERE: Error starting static Resources java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Document base /usr/share/tomcat6/webapps/era does not exist or is not a readable directory at org.apache.naming.resources.FileDirContext.setDocBase(FileDirContext.java:142) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.resourcesStart(StandardContext.java:4358) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.start(StandardContext.java:4527) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.addChildInternal(ContainerBase.java:791) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.addChild(ContainerBase.java:771) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.addChild(StandardHost.java:526) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployDirectory(HostConfig.java:1041) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployDirectories(HostConfig.java:964) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployApps(HostConfig.java:502) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.start(HostConfig.java:1277) at org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.lifecycleEvent(HostConfig.java:321) at org.apache.catalina.util.LifecycleSupport.fireLifecycleEvent(LifecycleSupport.java:142) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.start(ContainerBase.java:1053) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.start(StandardHost.java:722) at org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.start(ContainerBase.java:1045) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngine.start(StandardEngine.java:443) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardService.start(StandardService.java:516) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardServer.start(StandardServer.java:710) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.start(Catalina.java:593) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:606) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.start(Bootstrap.java:289) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java:414) Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start SEVERE: Error in resourceStart() Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start SEVERE: Error getConfigured Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext start SEVERE: Context [/era] startup failed due to previous errors Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext stop INFO: Container org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/era] has not been started Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig deployDirectory INFO: Deploying web application directory ROOT Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig deployDirectory INFO: Deploying web application directory era.bkp Apr 06, 2017 11:44:32 AM sk.eset.era.g2webconsole.server.modules.logger.FileLogWriter addItem INFO: [2017-04-06 11:44:32.754] V1 [] <INFO> ERA Web Server starting... 3. Actually I had to revert to 6.2 snapshot on vmware virtual appliance (centOS based). I was happy at the beginning with percentage of failed/succeeded client tasks, protecting agent by pass etc, but cons are stronger for me in 6.3: I saw task target, but I wasn't able to edit those (maybe just I didn't get it right) when there was a task execution list, I had no idea how to see time of occurrence, I could just select last 10/100/1000 rows, so it might be week ago or year ago, very confusing for me
  4. good for you, I decided to stick with 6.2 ... Task management and history of tasks fit better my requirements in 6.2.
  5. sorry, my fault, local time on ERA server was out of sync... 28 Jan 09:44:32 ntpdate[19766]: step time server 192.168.0.20 offset 77289.491893 sec so this one is sorted out for now, thanks.
  6. thanks MartinK, I've got mysql> use era_db ... Database changed mysql> call usp_replication_realm_uuid_set(UUID()); Query OK, 1 row affected (0,01 sec) but still almost one day difference between web console and reality, am I missing something here? Thank you ...
  7. May I join with related question? We have subnet1, where ERA server is and which is accessible to our local PCs from subnet2. We also have subnet3, where ERA proxy server is and which is accessible to our VPN users from subnet4. Local PCs are on ERA6, VPN on ERA5. Is there any way how to deploy agents through bat file and connect directly to ERA proxy server in subnet3? VPN users don't have access into subnet1 and never will... I tried to manually rewrite EraAgentInstaller.bat but ended up with some certificate error. I will of course feed more info if needed, it was 6 months ago, so memories are fuzzy litle bit... Thx
  8. Hello guys, can you please give me a hint? I need declare @new_uuid char(36); SET @new_uuid = LOWER(NEWID()); exec dbo.usp_replication_realm_uuid_set @new_uuid; but for MySQL, I have a ERA virtual appliance on VMWARE, it was ok till yesterdays upgrade to 6.3, I went back on snapshot of 6.2 but need to force re-synchronization ... BTW I'm very unhappy with 6.3 handling targets, not showing when task execution occured, etc, but it might be broken update just on my side. Thank you.
  9. You tried to install 64bit package on 32bit system and 32bit on 64bit OS, right? This might be reason for error "The update is not applicable to your computer", only other reason I can think of is that it is distributed by MS already and should be visible in the list of installed packages... Weird anyway.
  10. You can push it from ERAS like "C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" "\\your\samba\share\kb2664888.msu" /quiet /norestart
