  1. Thank you for this suggestion. I installed smart security 8 after doing the CLI uninstall of smart security 9. This did not work for me as the firewall is still disabled but thank you for the suggestion anyways.
  2. win 7x64 ultimate prior to this I used MBAM, Spybot, MSE and windows firewall. Uninstalled all of the others besides windows firewall. Installed ESET smart security 9, updated and restarted with no change. Uninstalled via safe mode and ESET CLI uninstaller. Reinstalled smart security 9 and same issue Uninstalled via revo uninstaller pro, swept registry for everything that was still left, restarted in safe mode and uninstalled via command line. Reinstalled smart security 9 and still not active. Did all the same but instead installed smart security 8, still doesnt show network protection as active. Logs are attached to my case number 1365916 To the best of what I can see, the sc query shows the first two services working but the 3rd one doesn't exist as a service. That matches up with the error message I get by trying to manually enable the firewall which is that the epfwlwf driver/service/etc does not exist or something like that. output of sc query:
