  1. After I checked my licence, I only have the endpoint antivirus. I'll have to buy some licence to make the file server security work. Anyway, is there a way to know why it is doing so? So far we have uninstall it from some server and magic happen. no more crash or slowness issue. We are using it on terminal server and with some production server. Outside of telling us to use file security, can you point us where to look to find what and why this is happening? I found nothing in event viewer or eset log. Only thing I found is this: Warning: NetworkModule [Thread 94c]: The connection will be closed due to timeout.
  2. well. on my licence I only have EEA and ESS. Does ESS is the one your talking about? And for the backup, it's the VSS shadow copy... Shouldn't eset exclude that process by default?
  3. Hi, I have multiple server that randomly crash during the night backup. I suspect that the backup mix with the high usage of the cpu make the system crash. Not sure about that. During the day, system look stable. Most of the server are Win 2008 R2. Happen sometime on Win 7 x64 PC. EEA 6.2.2033.1 ERA 6.2.171.0
  4. The update server is at autoselect and the policies say chose automatically. That mean from the eset server.
  5. As I got no answer, I will post mine for who came across that issue. -Deleting the task after the client was rebooted fix it. Wait a couple of minute before creating a new one and you are back in business.
  6. Hi, I have notice that for all my user who I install the ERA 6 agent while they have the old antivirus (Nod32), it stop getting update. After I push the agent and the update stop, I have to manually enter my license information on every single PC to have them getting update. Is that by design?
  7. Just gona cote a line from the manual. This is under Trigger: As Soon As Possible - Executes the task as soon as the client connects to ESET Remote Administrator Server and receives the task. If the task cannot be performed until the Expiration date, the task will be removed from the queue - the task will not be deleted, but it will not be executed. hxxp://help.eset.com/era_admin/62/en-US/index.html?server_tasks_agent_deployment.htm
  8. Hi, I have start a task to remote uninstall the old nod32. Task never runned. So I uninstall it manually and since then, the task on era is stuck at "running". Tried reboot, no good. I could use some help here.
  9. here you can find some stuff to check: hxxp://help.eset.com/era_admin/62/en-US/index.html?fs_agent_deploy_troubleshooting.htm Also, be sure that the uninstall parameter is populate with the required password. Like this: Password=myendpointpassword The agent have to be present on the client machine. (obviously you already have it)
  10. Hi, finaly find out the issue. On the uninstallation parameter field, I was writing: password="mypassword". No cotation mark are need here. I removed them and Voilà!
  11. Here is the details. Software uninstallation settings -Uninstall Application from list -Package name ESET NOD32 Antivirus -Package version All -Target mypc.domain.com -Trigger ASAP Both ERA and the pc are at the same time/timezone. *updated: I have try to fire the task with current time+10min like slimfatso suggest. Didn't work for me.
  12. Hi, I have try multiple combination to uninstall 3rd party antivirus. The task seem to never start. there is nothing in the task execution pane. Same issue when trying to uninstall eset nod32. Nothing. Like the task never run. Waited 4hours...still nothing. I have try with the password parameter and without it. The era agent is running fine on the client and the client is connect fine on the network. Manual uninstall on the client work fine. After that, I can push the antivirus remotely without issue. Is there something I missed? [edit] Forgot to tell the task was set to start asap. Using era 6.2
