No offense, but I think you should give home Mac users more dedication, it’s 2025 and we still don’t have LiveGuard or Folder Guard, I admit that having a custom firewall is great, but considering there are paid and even free apps that allow you to do this with real-time prompts (Like LuLu and Little Snitch), I’m having doubts on whether to look for other Mac security products.
Is it a possibility that this will change in the near future?

Thanks! That would be fair as it closes the biggest gap between Windows and macOS users, who can be paying for one of those higher plans, yet receive far less protection from targeted attacks on their Mac devices.
Would you be so kind as to update this thread if it gets added? I've been interested in switching from my current EDR solution to ESET for some time now, but needed to see this happen first.

We will consider adding it for those with ESET Home Security Premium and ESET Home Security Ultimate subscriptions.

SaurikSI gave kudos to Feign in ESET Endpoint Security - Local Firewall Rules Edit
    😢
These are the tools I know of that does NOT work with ESET Endpoint Security version 8 on macOS (both macOS 14 and macOS 15). All of them worked fine with ESET Endpoint Security v6 (and customized firewall rules).
The typical error reported by the tools below is a "broken pipe" error - it more or less happens for any tool doing anything but http traffic - how this was not found during testing is beyond my comprehension.
Gradle builds (specifically the daemon), Android Studio compile (gradle), adb, azure cli, TestContainers / container commands over tcp and the list keeps growing.
We have a company policy that requires the developers to have ESET Endpoint Security installed and active. But at the moment this prevents them from doing their jobs.
The only workaround we know of at the moment is for the developer to temporarily disable the ESET Network Filter in macOS settings (it is not enough to disable web filtering/firewall in ESET settings - broken pipe still occurs).
Since the developers work with these tools all day - they more or less have to disable the ESET filter throughout the entire workday - rendering ESET Endpoint Security v8 more or less useless for that type of work.

So, please reconsider the decision about rules in Endpoint Security 8 being controlled solely by PROTECT. Getting the basic rules from PROTECT would be fine. But for this type of use case the users need to be able to adjust the basic rules.
I agree with @EjEm that CyberSecurity does not sound like a solution, unless it has management/deployment options like Endpoint Security does.

Hello, we are actively working on new features, including some of which you listed here, such as ssl/tls scanning.
I've forwarded this list to our product management team. Thanks for the feedback! If you have any other requests, we'll be glad to hear them.

SaurikSI received kudos from Jaroslav Kraus in Issues, Ideas & Feedback for ESET Cyber Security & ESET Cyber Security Pro
I wanted to request you to submit ESET Cyber Security Pro for testing in AV-Test and AV-Comparatives.
For our needs, we always use these results to compare how well vendors perform compared to others and make a decision based on that, unfortunately, you haven't submitted for the latest tests. We would need those results, I asked them and both organizations told me you had to participate manually in the tests, they're open and waiting for you to contact them.
